Walnut & Ash Side Table

This striking side table is handmade using a live edge European Walnut slab table top and American Swamp Ash legs. The Walnut was reclaimed from a furniture maker and the Swamp Ash from an electric guitar builder in York.

The table top has been hand planed and sanded for an incredibly smooth finish with chamfered edges and a beautiful live edge front. European Walnut is a beautiful, chocolate brown wood that is a close to being endangered. The legs are made using Swamp Ash that was reclaimed from an electric guitar builder. Swamp Ash is also an at-risk light weight hardwood with pale colouring and bold grain. The two woods are a great contrast.

It is protected by a satin Hard Wax Oil finish which is plastic free and easy to repair, making this a piece of furniture that should last you a lifetime.
